Order: Administer Gentamycin 100 mg IM TID
Available: Gentamycin, 40mg/mL
How many mL will be administered per dose.
I already did the quiz and just want to label sure the correct answer is 2.5
I think I'm looking at this wrong but it's be awhile since I went to medical assisting academy and havent worked in the enclosed space since but if it's 100mg IM TID and 40mg then yeah you would use 2.5 doses of the Gentamycin to equal the ordered amount. But the request for information actually say "how many mL will be administered PER DOSE" so wouldnt it be 100mL still? Since its intramuscular three times a hours of daylight?... Probably wrong but just a thought to the actual put somebody through the mill. If thats whats actually surrounded by your work then I focus they are more so going for wanting a conversion from mg to mL which in this bag would be the same number
