How various spinal segment and vertebra contained by human body?

There are typically 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, 5 lumbar vertebrae, and 5 sacral vertebrae (fused) with one coxygeal vertebra. That add up to 30 vertebrae in the typical personage.
Spinal cord segments tend to come out above and below respectively of those, giving 31 segments. You count cervical segment above the vertebra of the same heading except you add segment C8 below vertebra C7 and above vertebra T1. Thus, the remainder of them come out below the vertebrae.
So... 30 vertebrae, 31 segment.
