Is there any research to suggest that a breastfeeding mother shouldn't use hydrocortisone cream? My daughter have been sick since I started using it...a moment ago a coincidence?
I was given it for a alarming bee sting, is this unusual? I'm not too trusting of the pharmasist who assured me it would be fine.
It is not known if hydrocortisone is secreted within breast milk.
No research papers are available. But Hydrocortisone is highlysoluble and an overdose can get into breast milk. As the medication is merely for a brief period no effects should be see in the child.
